Book selling “My thoughts on home entertaining” (Yoshiko Morita)

 

Yoshiko Morita, the wife of Sony founder Akio Morita, wrote
“My thoughts on home entertaining”(Japanese only) and with
the support of the republishing project,  the republished book
has been completed.

We sell this book at “The Akio Morita library” and hope that you
will purchase it when you visit us.

New exhibition starts from July 1st.

New exhibition  about Honorary Citizen of Aichi Prefecture medal and
Certificate of commendation stars from July 1st.

In 2022, on the occasion of the 150th anniversary of the Aichi Prefectural
Government,Akio Morita was honored as an “Honorary Prefectural Citizen”
by Aichi Prefecture along with Kiichiro Toyoda, the founder of Toyota Motor
Corporation.

Akio Morita was honored for his contributions to the community by
introducing innovative Sony products such as the Walkman, enriching
people’s lives, and operating related factories in the prefecture.

A special exhibition autumn version start from18th Nov.

A special exhibition autumn version for Akio Morita 100th anniversary of birth
will start from 18th November.

The Order of the British Empire, Salzburg Golden Medal , the medals and
awards that could not be exhibited. We will also exhibit the graduation gown
of the University of Illinois and Akio’s tailcoat.

This will be the final exhibition Akio Morita 100th anniversary of birth.
The period is until the end of January 2022. Don’t miss it.

1st anniversary of grand opening!

18th July 2021,

Akio Morita Library is celebrating its 1st anniversary of grand opening.

Last year, it opened as the new coronavirus infection spread.
However, about 1600 people visited the library in one year.
We would like to express our sincere gratitude for your support and cooperation.

A special exhibition for Akio Morita 100th anniversary of birth began!

A special exhibition summer version for Akio Morita 100th anniversary of birth has begun.

Akio’s sports-related items are on display at the time of the Tokyo Olympics.
